MEDICAL CANNABIS

Flower

Must be vaporized. Vaporizer Options: Flower-only, Concentrates-only, Flower & Concentrates.

Typical Onset Time:
immediate - 15 minutes  

 

Peak:
30 minutes – an hour  

 

Typical Relief Period:
can last several hours (2 – 4 hours)  

Concentrates

Must be vaporized. Concentrated forms of cannabis including hash, shatter, wax, sauce budder, etc.  

 

Typical Onset Time:
immediate - 15 minutes  

Peak:
30 minutes – an hour  

 

Typical Relief Period:
can last several hours, generally longer duration than flower (may vary)

Vape Cartridges / Pods / Syringes:

Concentrated forms of cannabis packaged in a pre-filled cartridge / pod  

 

Typical Onset Time:
immediate - 15 minutes  

 

Peak:
30 minutes – an hour  

 

Typical Relief Period:
can last several hours, generally longer duration than flower (may vary)

Consumables

Start low, go slow, and be patient. Consumables metabolize THC somewhat differently and can produce different subjective effects (depending on the individual).  

 

Suggested Doses:  
New User: microdose (≤ 2 mg)
Intermediate User: 2.5 – 25 mg  
Frequent User: 25 – 50 mg  

 

Typical Onset Time:
can range from 30 - 120 minutes  

 

Peak:
2 – 4 hours  

 

Typical Relief Period:
can last up to 6 - 12 hours

Tinctures

Liquid solutions that are taken sublingually (under the tongue)  

 

Typical Onset Time:
can take up to 20 - 60 minutes

 

Peak:
1 – 3 hours  

 

Typical Relief Period:
typically can last for 2 - 6 hours

Topicals

Applied directly to the skin, absorbed transdermally. 

Typical Onset Time:
can range from 5 - 45 minutes.  


Peak:

Typical Relief Period:
can last several hours (up to 12 hours).
